I am thankful to be alive.
I am thankful that I have a wonderful wife and beautiful children.
I am thankful that I have friends who love me unconditionally.
I am thankful that I have a good job so I can support my family.

But this year I am most thankful for finding this online support group and all of you amazing people.

Thank you Mary and all of the ABC Survivor members.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I am thankful...
that my future is not determined by my past.
that I can look to the future with hope for less pain and with great purpose.
that I am not alone. I love you guys!
that everyday I get to live a happy ending...being with the man I love.
for the new friends I've made this year.
for a deeper relationship with my brother.
that we have a home and Jason has a job, both of which were out of reach a year ago.
that we have good health insurance.
that life and love and God and hope are more powerful than cancer.

Happy Thanksgiving!  You have truly brightened my life.

I'll be gone from Wednesday to Sunday.

Three years ago, I was dealing with the fact that I had bone cancer and was trying to get a date for my TKR surgery. Last night at church our pastor asked everyone to think about what we were thankful for. So many things flooded my mind and heart. Of course my health, family, God's great love, and then I thought about what this cancer adventure has given me. Yes my natural knee and part of femur is gone. I walk with a limp. But I have become the person God wanted me to be. Sometimes we have to go through the valleys to appreciate the mountains. I am a preschool teacher. I teach and love on little ones everyday. I tell them how much Jesus loves them. I teach them social skills and how to use our words and not our hands.(doesn't always work) I also minister to the families and try to help all I can. I pastor children's church and spread the good news. I am blessed by three wonderful children and a great husband. I have so much to be thankful for. I wish all a wonderful holiday. Be safe and be blessed.

Where do I start?  Last year at this time, I was SO frightened.  I received the news that I had cancer 3 days before Thanksgiving, but didn't find out it was Ewing's until the week after.
This year I'm thankful for everything.  God, his bountiful gifts: family, friends, love, laughter, health, peace in my soul, HAIR, the good food that is to come..... even the weight I may gain from it.  LIFE and LIVING it to it's fullest!

What a perfect opportunity for a study break. If you scroll up a few posts, you can see what I was thankful for at this time two years ago! It's neat that these things really do change as our lives change. So, this year...

I am thankful...
for a new direction - school - having more activity in my life
that my pain is BETTER than it was in 2005
that we have a new tree and flowers in our front yard
for the last two surgeries...they seem to have made me tougher and given me perspective
for the fun of planning next year's summer vacation
that Jason and I are still in love
that our grandparents are still here with us for the holidays

Ahhh, life is good. :-)

I am thankful for second, third, fourth and more chances to still live life.
I am thankful for a warm place to live and food in my stomach.
I am thankful for my husband and daughter who are my inspiration.
I am thankful for the love and support of family and friends both in my sight and in my computer.
I am thankful for my doctors and the medicine they used to help me survive.
I am thankful for the technology that made it possible for me to find my family here at ABC.
I bet you are now thankful that this is the last line in my post. LOL
