Hey everyone,

Had the second appointment with the kidney doctor. The blood pressure medicine is really doing the trick.  So it was a positive meeting.  I asked if there were things one could do to prevent the progression of the kidney's from deteriorating any further and she said to not take anti-inflammatories such as Advil (which is difficult when you have an arthritic knee, but need those kidneys).  If you are diabetic to follow your diet closely.  I asked if I could have a glass of wine now and then and she laughed and said, "it would probably help."  The pain med I take she said was fine. So all and all there is nothing more that I can do to help these little guys along.  She only wants to see me before six months if I have any problems.  It's just one more thing, to be left with, from having cancer, to live with.  It's okay I can live with it, I don't have a choice.

Just keeping you up to date on the late effects of chemo.

  Cathy,

That sounds like good news. Bp meds will help you in more than one way. Not having to worry about it for 6 months is great too. I'll toast ya to a glass on wine.

You have enough to worry about.
