Hey guys,
I have to share this story with you because it totally just made my night. Ok here is the background so you know the players involved-Vienne-I met her last year at PT and then we actually ended up in the same swim class--started chatting and became pretty good friends-This weekend is her 1 year anniversary--She was standing by her car parked on the side of the street and another car coming down the street hit her, smashed her against the 2 vehicles and then drug her a few feet away from the initial impact--anyway so she is a survivor but not in the cancer since--She was told she would never walk again-because her legs were shattered and that she would be very lucky to even make it through the first few months--so anyway obviously she made it--and she is walking--we have fun togther because we work on the same exercises and have similiar issues with mobility and stuff--all though she is much better than I am

anyway though I don't hold that against her.
So here's the story--
Tonight we had swimming and the week for me has just been long and painful (like usual) I tried to take my pain meds more often but then of course it just made me so tired that that made me depressed--so its just been a BLAH kind of week. So tonight had to drag my ass out of bed to begin with to go to swimming but I did and Vienne was there--so we swam and talked and laughed like we usally do and then after we talked some more because she is going on vacation to next week to "celebrate" her one year anniversary and then she said--here I have something for you--It was in a little box--I said oh wow cool you got candy-It looked like a truffle box

oops it wasn't I opened the box and inside was a silver chain with a silver "infinity cirlce" it was called--and around the circle it says SURVIVOR--
It was SO thoughtful-she said she has one and when she was in the store she saw it and just had to by one for me. So it totally made my night! When your just feeling blah and you don't really have an explanation for it so that makes it worse and then a friend reaches out so unexpectantly that it just makes everything OK again!
Thank you for friends that just "know" when you need a little pick me up!
HUGS to you all
