I went to the doctor
the pain was pretty bad.
i was not prepared for the news
that would make us really sad.

the doctor said its cancer
and we both began to cry
then i asked the doctor
do you think that i will die?

the doctor said there is a treatment
but it will make you very ill
i did not know what to say
so i just sat there very still.

the first time i went for chemo
i was feeling kind of scared
the medicine began to drip
and made me feel kind of weird.

i thought for a moment
this is not so very bad
then the next day i got real sick
it made me think of Dad

my daddy died of cancer
and i dont want to die
i think of my kids and they are so young
im not ready to say good bye

ill be the one to live
no matter how sick i get
because i know the dear Lord
is not ready for me yet.

i pray to God everyday
to make the time go fast
sometimes i even think that i dont know
if i can last.

Then i remember the thing called faith
that makes me oh so strong
getting discouraged and upset
i know is very wrong.

when i get sad and feeling blue
i know just what to do.
i look to God and remember his words
Im always there for you.

   Hi Mark,

That was wonderful, thank-you for sharing....your wife should
be very proud of you. You should try to submit it somewhere
like Coping magazine.

  Hugs,
